Commits Nerd Mango to useful, independent, evidence-led technology publishing across nine departments.
Mission and scope
Nerd Mango helps readers understand, choose and safely use technology. Coverage may span Artificial Intelligence; Software; Cybersecurity and Privacy; Consumer Technology; Robotics and Emerging Technology; Cloud, Computing and Developer Technology; Smart Home and Connected Devices; Practical Tutorials and Explainers; and Web3.
Independence and topic selection
Editors choose topics for reader value, significance, evidence availability, safety and timeliness. Advertisers, merchants, product access, commission rates and affiliate availability may inform logistics but may not dictate coverage, rankings, verdicts or factual conclusions.
Research and verification
Writers should prefer primary sources: official documentation, standards, regulations, court/regulator records, reproducible testing and direct on-record evidence. Material claims require citation or recorded evidence. Secondary sources may provide context and must not be used to launder unsupported claims.
Jurisdictions, versions and uncertainty
Articles must identify relevant product version, operating system, region, date and material limitations. Rumour, estimate, allegation, forecast and confirmed fact must be distinguished. Anonymous sources require Editor-in-Chief approval, a documented public-interest reason and independent corroboration where practicable.
Accountability and updates
Every published asset has a named author, accountable editor, publication date, review date and evidence record. Material updates describe what changed. Corrections follow the Corrections Policy. Conflicts are disclosed and, where they threaten independence, reassigned.
AI and commercial separation
AI may assist only under the AI Assistance Policy. Humans remain accountable. Sponsored content and advertising use separate labels and workflows. Editorial staff may not accept payment tied to a positive conclusion or undisclosed personal benefit.
